EFECS is the international forum with a focus on ‘Our Digital Future’ along the Electronic Components and Systems value chain in Europe. The organisers of this event, AENEAS, ARTEMIS-IA, EPoSS, ECSEL Joint Undertaking and the European Commission, in association with EUREKA, have joined forces to bring all stakeholders together on
20-22 November 2018.
EFECS provides numerous opportunities to learn more about the latest developments, cooperation and funding possibilities in the ECS Community.
The first ever joint Electronic Components & Systems (ECS) Strategic Research Agenda (SRA) was published in January 2018. Each year the three European industry associations AENEAS, ARTEMIS-IA and EPoSS, spanning the entire value chain, set out their vision for digital Europe, the key application areas, the R&D&I challenges and solutions.
In february 2019 the associations released the ECS-SRA 2019. During the ECS-SRA session at EFECS 2018 in Lisbon, participants shared their feedback before drafting the final version. With the input from industry, the associations made sure that all aspects are taken into account. Download your copy below!
EFECS will contain the following key topics:
Collaboration is the driving force of European innovation. EFECS has been established to meet the need for more structural R&D&I on Electronic Components and Systems to a larger scale. This collaborative approach helps to define an efficient ecosystem to maximise interactions and faster develop applications.
All ECS stakeholders are brought together at EFECS. This begins online before the start of the event with the ECS Collaboration Tool (ECT), which is designed to encourage the online development of ideas and the formation of related collaborative groups, irrespective of funding instrument. The online networking is followed by the Pre-Brokerage Session at EFECS, where stakeholders can pitch their ideas, present a poster at the exhibition and have face-to-face meetings. Two major social events will facilitate visitors to network with potential partners.
Networking and information sharing is THE catalyst for innovative activity. The exhibition area, with posters, project information, industry and scientific organisations and information on funding options will form a central location for discussions and idea sharing.
